Hey Gang,
There will be some changes in the fishing league schedule for the rest of the season. We will not be fishing Lake Elmo next week due to the uncertainty of the landing situation. We were there on Tuesday and arrived about 6:00 pm. There were only 6 spots open when we got there. Bob and Ryan got there about 45 minutes after us and got the last spot. The Washington County Park is the only landing on the lake and once it is full
you cannot launch as there is no overflow parking. Also, at the end of the night there was a cop at the landing making sure people left the park because the park closes a half hour after sunset. There is no way we will all get out of there in time if he is there again. This is a very busy park and I was not aware of this when I set the schedule (much busier than Big Marine). We still might consider this lake for pre-season next year as it is a very nice lake. Most of the boats were all recreation, so we would want to hope for a crappy weather night. As a result, for all you Green lovers, your dream has come true because we are switching fishing next Tuesday (August 14, 2012) back to Green Lake. I do not want to hear anymore complaining about taking Green off the
schedule. We will be launching at the usual spot off of Highway 23 at the Big Green landing. Take off is at 5:30 pm with the measure in at 8:30 pm. This will be the safest bet for everyone.
Another schedule change to make note of......we will be switching the order of Bald Eagle Lake and White Bear Lake around on the schedule. White Bear Lake will now be August 21, 2012 and Bald Eagle Lake will be August 28, 2012. There is another 14 team league on WBL on August 28, 2012 and since we pushed back everything one week this will eliminate that conflict. Please give me a call if you have any questions. Look forward to seeing you all up at Green Lake next Tuesday!
