Hey Everyone,
It is hard to believe that Week 5 is already behind us! Congratulations to Gulp This and No Muskie No Problem! for each capturing 11 points in Week 5. A shot also goes out to Hook, Line, & Sinker for racking up 7 points and taking 2nd place for highest points this week. Third highest points goes to the G-rods with 6 points. Hook, Line, & Sinker came in with a nice chunky northern at 27 inches. Gulp This did something that I believe no one has ever done in this league and that is measure in a smallmouth bass (see pictures).
I found out the reason the landing was so busy on Tuesday was because that other bass league was suppose to be at Gervais/Keller Lakes and there is obviously no parking there, so they must have switched without any notification. For those of you that don't know, I try my best to schedule our league around other fishing league schedules, which are posted on www.classicbass.com.
The standings have No Muskie No Problem! in first place with 72 points, Gulp This in second with 57 points, and U Smell Fish? in third with 56 points. We are entering the 2nd half of the season in what will be an interesting stretch to the finish line.
Week 6 has us at Clear Lake with takeoff occurring at 5:45 pm and measure in at 8:45 pm. I would like to try and get our annual group photo next week, so please stick around for a few minutes after we are done for the photo. Lets try to squeeze it in before we start measuring.
I have heard rumors that U smell fish? has been rehearsing their Muskie dances all week! They are practicing extra hard since they have the 3rd place spot in the standings! We are all looking forward to the Muskie dancing show!
Have a great week and see you at Clear Lake on Tuesday!
