Hey Gang,
I appologize for not getting this out sooner, it has been a busy week. The last night of the season was again a wild finish out on Bald Eagle. A few congrats go out for the night. Congrats to Team Hoots for taking care of business by catching 11 points worth of bass to pass the Red Cups by 1 point for 2nd place. One less point and the Red Cups would have beat them with the tie breaker. The Different Approach got ur done hauling in a 13.75' walleye to grab the largest walleye prize. Congrats to the Different Approach co-captain for catching her first walleye ever and lo and behold it was worth $100 bucks! Way to go! The G-Rods wraped up their season very strong with 16 points worth of bass and northern. Hook, Line, and Sinker also ended strong with 10 points worth of bass. Team Hoots were caught hip dancing with each other out in the boat! The Hooter captain almost took out the co-captain with a hip bounce. Word on the street is that U Smell Fish? was giving the Hooters private dancing lessons on the side.
Congrats to Da Flu Flu Flu's for taking 1st place for the year with 53 points. Team Hoots snuck into 2nd place with 48 points, and the Red Cups take 3rd with 47 points. The largest northern prize goes to Da Flu Flu's with a 30.75" northern, the largest bass prize goes to the Red Cups with a 18" bass, and the largest walleye prize goes to the Different Approach with a 13.75" walleye. Highest points for a single week is a tie between Da Flu Flu's (Big Carnelian Lake) and the Red Cups (Peltier Lake) each with 17 points. There was a huge clump of teams between 26-32 points. Please check out the website for more information.
Overall it was an awsome year and a ton of fun! The weather was as perfect as you could ask for, which made it easy for the weather man this year. Thank you guys for being flexible and rolling with the schedule changes that we had and for sending me your pictures for the website. Check out Muskie Breath's muskie that was caught on White Bear Lake. I would like to say that it has been fun fishing with my co-catain, Corey. He is retiring from the league as he is moving east to Milwalkee. I wish Corey the best with his new endeavors! He will be missed!
The end of the year happy hour will start at 5:30 pm this coming Tuesday September 4th at Jimmy's. This will be a time to socialize, talk about the season, and distribute money to the winners. Feel free to bring your families. Hope to see you all there! If you cannot make it and are in the money, please let me know and I will mail out your winnings.
