Hey Crew,
Clear Lake was an extremely interesting night. Overall, there were a lot of fish caught and everyone made the board....so way to go! A huge congrats goes out to Hook, Line, & Sinker for having a monster night with 21 points. They caught the largest bass ever measured in the history of the league worth 10 points and measuring 20.25 inches. They now lead the largest bass category (replacing U Smell Fish? 18.5" bass) and tied No Muskie No Problem! for the highest weekly points this season. Another congrats goes out to U Smell Fish? for having 16 points and closing the gap for the 1st place spot in the standings. They cought a couple lunker northerns, one being worth 10 points and measuring 32.75 inches. They now retain the largest northern category (replacing Red Cups 32.25" northern).
If you read the smack talk link....news on the street was that U Smell Fish? was at a northern dancing camp all week, they may have learned to catch big northerns, but a bid disappointed that we did not see any northern dancing going on despite their solid night. Maybe they were so depressed that they were not catching muskies!!! Speaking of muskies....there were a few nice ones caught tonight, they are worth zero points due to their size, but fun to catch to say the least. I posted some pictures of a few that were caught.
The standings have No Muskie No Problem! in first with 75 points, U Smell Fish? in 2nd place with 72 points, and Gulp This in 3rd place with 67 points. First place last year after 8 weeks was 53 points, a handful of teams have already surpassed that mark after 6 weeks, so way to go everyone!
Next week we are on Big Marine Lake. The measure in will be occurring at the Big Marine Park Reserve Launch from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. A couple reminders, you will not have to pay a park fee to get into the park because it is the first Tuesday of the month and our MEASURE IN TIME HAS CHANGED FROM 5:30-8:30 PM. The remaining weeks will all have fishing times from 5:30-8:30 pm. As long as we have the entire crew, we will try to get a group photo at Big Marine. We will try to squeeze it in before we start measuring, so please stick around for a few minutes if you can. Most years I usually do this right away, but obviously it has not been done yet this year.
Have a great week everyone and see you on Tuesday!
